Brand Usage Guidelines

These guidelines outline the lawful use of RYCM’s brand assets, including its name, logo, colors, and other brand elements. Any use of RYCM’s branding should follow these rules to protect the integrity and recognition of the organization.

1. Use of the RYCM Name
The full organization name, Refugee Youth Changemakers, should be used when first referenced in any written or spoken format, with the abbreviation RYCM introduced for subsequent mentions.
Always use the name in a way that accurately reflects RYCM’s values, mission, and identity.
The name must not be modified, combined, or abbreviated further than “RYCM.”

2. Logo Usage
Permissible Use: The RYCM logo may only be used in official RYCM publications, promotional materials, collaborations, or approved partner communications.
Prohibited Use: Do not alter, recolor, distort, or use the logo in any way that misrepresents RYCM or implies endorsement without approval.
The logo should always appear in high resolution and with appropriate spacing to ensure visibility and clarity.
Permission is required to use the logo in any context outside of official RYCM activities.

3. Color Palette and Fonts
RYCM’s colors and fonts are integral to its identity. The primary colors and designated fonts should be used consistently across all materials.
Unauthorized alteration or substitution of colors and fonts is prohibited to maintain the brand’s visual integrity.

4. Brand Voice and Tone
All communications representing RYCM should align with the organization’s brand tone: respectful, inclusive, empowering, and solution-oriented.
Avoid language that is divisive, overly casual, or misaligned with RYCM’s mission and values.

5. Merchandise and Co-Branding
RYCM’s name and logo may not be used on merchandise or in co-branded materials without prior written approval from RYCM leadership.
All requests for using RYCM’s branding on third-party merchandise or joint projects must be formally submitted for evaluation.

6. Media and Publicity
All media inquiries regarding the use of RYCM’s brand in publications, videos, or public events must be directed to the RYCM communications team.
When representing RYCM in media or public events, ensure compliance with brand guidelines and obtain necessary approvals when required.

7. Social Media Usage
RYCM’s name, logo, or other brand elements must not be used to create unauthorized social media accounts, pages, or groups.
When using RYCM’s brand assets in social media posts or promotions, adhere to approved guidelines for logo placement, color schemes, and tone of voice.

8. Intellectual Property Rights
RYCM retains all intellectual property rights over its name, logo, slogan, and other brand assets. Unauthorized use may result in legal action.
Any infringement or misuse of RYCM’s intellectual property will be addressed in accordance with applicable laws.

9. Consequences of Misuse
Misuse of the RYCM brand or its assets can result in penalties, including termination of partnerships, legal consequences, or demands to cease misuse.
To avoid any breach of RYCM’s brand guidelines, seek prior approval for any use not specifically covered by this document.
