At Refugee Youth Changemakers (RYCM), we are building a movement led by refugee youth, for refugee youth. Our growing team works across borders and backgrounds to create safe, inclusive, and empowering spaces where young people can thrive despite displacement.
We’re looking for passionate, purpose-driven individuals who believe in the power of youth-led change. If you’re motivated to contribute to meaningful, community-based work, join us and help shape a future where no young person is left behind.
At RYCM, we work in dynamic and sometimes challenging contexts—from refugee camps to rural schools to digital hubs. We need team members who:
Are deeply committed to refugee youth empowerment and education
Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, and multicultural settings
Bring creativity, empathy, and initiative to their work
Are strong communicators, educators, organizers, or tech-savvy changemakers
Understand the importance of working directly with the community, not just for them
Can lead with integrity and adapt to diverse local contexts
We particularly encourage applications from:
Refugees or people from forcibly displaced backgrounds
Youth and recent graduates with lived experience in camp or low-resource settings
Applicants fluent in English, French, Swahili, or Kinyarwanda
Open positions are posted here and on our social media channels. To apply:
Send your CV and a short letter of motivation to info@refugeeycm.org
Clearly mention the position you are applying for in the subject line
Include any relevant portfolios, writing samples, or references if available
RYCM is proudly refugee-led and community-centered. We value the strength that comes from diversity and lived experience. We are committed to building an inclusive team where all identities are respected and empowered.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender identity, disability, nationality, or legal status.
